# How can I see everything I'm subscribed to by email? — Adinand Email Cleaner

**Gmail has no page that lists what you are signed up to, because nobody ever made that list.** You said yes to a shop at a checkout, to a newsletter in 2019, to a webinar you attended once — each one a separate transaction with a separate company. The list exists only as a pattern in your inbox, and reconstructing it is the actual task.

## Three ways to reconstruct it <ol> <li>**Search for the footer.** Bulk senders are legally obliged to offer a way out, so the word is almost always there: search `unsubscribe`, then skim by sender rather than by message. Crude, and it catches most of it.</li> <li>**Use the Promotions tab as a proxy.** Gmail already sorts most marketing mail there. It is not a complete list — receipts and "service updates" often land in Primary — but it is a fast first pass.</li> <li>**Sort by sender.** The insight everyone eventually has: subscriptions are defined by *repetition*, not by content. Anyone who has sent you thirty messages you never replied to is a subscription, whatever the mail looks like.</li> </ol>

## What each approach misses <ul> <li>Senders who rotate addresses (`news@`, `offers@`, `noreply-8f2@`) appear as several different things, so any by-sender view over-counts until you look.</li> <li>Mail you actually want — an order update, a bank statement — carries an unsubscribe link too, and an aggressive sweep will catch it. This is why unsubscribing sender-by-sender beats "unsubscribe from everything in the search results".</li> <li>Genuine spam never honoured a list in the first place.
